Brothers, love is a teacher, but a hard one to obtain: learning to love is hard and we pay dearly for it. It takes hard work and a long apprenticeship, for it is not just for a moment that we must learn to love, but forever.

I Think I've Just Found My Favorite Blog.
If you're a Catholic intellectual mom, you might like it too.
As is yours, which I discovered in lurking around the Mothering forums.
I guess I sort of qualify as an intellectual Catholic mom -- I'm Catholic, I'm a mom, in another lifetime I had conversations in which I pretended to know something about Derrida . . .
Now that I've looked at your blog, I know you qualify; in fact, didn't I read a wonderful essay you wrote last year about homeschooling in First Things? I'm going to link to your blogs.
I loved your essay and actually photocopied it for a couple of friends. I'm very happy you have a blog too; I look forward to keeping up with the St. Daniel the Stylite Academy!
That is a good one, and I hadn't seen it before.

Anyway, nice blog -- I'm glad to have found it.
Thanks, Mrs. T. I think you definitely qualify!

ReplyDeleteThanks so much. Yep, that would be me . . .
