Mourning and Purification

Karen Edmisten writes movingly on the loss of children and the Feast of the Purification.

Those who sow in tears
       will reap with songs of joy.
 He who goes out weeping,
       carrying seed to sow,
       will return with songs of joy,
       carrying his sheaves with him.  (Psalm 125:5-6)
